Hedge / Screening trees for privacy and security

There’s nothing quite as refreshing as stepping out into your garden, where you can find peace and solitude in private amongst nature. But this privacy can sometimes be taken away when the neighbours decide to build a 2nd storey and have windows looking into your property.

Do you build a higher wall or do you plant screening trees? We vote trees!! They will continue to grow and add value to your property in the long term.

There are various options available when it comes to choosing the correct screening tree for you. The below list with a rating of xx or xxx would be most beneficial to you but we would still recommend that you give us a call to discuss your individual needs.

In addition to privacy, most of us also like to feel safe and secure in our homes. Thorny trees are one of the best solutions to adding a secure barrier to your property whilst maintaining a natural environment (no barb-wire required!). The below list with ratings “x” will also give you an indication of tree species you can use for adding security to your property.

Give us a call to discuss further!

Hedges / Screening

xxx = Stands clipping well and forms a dense screen down to the ground

xx = Moderately suitable for use as a trimmed hedge
